Suzanne de Cheveigné is senior researcher (directrice de recherche) emerita with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and works in the Centre Norbert Elias in Marseilles, France. She has been a Visiting Senior Research Fellow with the London School of Economics. She carries out research on public problems in the areas of science, technology and the environment, with particular attention to the role of media and to the place of women in science. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Science Communication and Enquête. She was chair of the EC expert group that produced the "Gender Challenge in Research Funding" report and is now a member of the H2020 Advisory groups on Climate action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials and on Gender. She was chair of the expert group in charge of the interim evaluation of gender equality under Horizon 2020. She is author of L'Environnement dans le journal televise – Médiateurs et visions du monde and first author of Les Biotechnologies en débat – Pour une démocratie scientifique.
