Anne-Sophie Stevance, Science Officer, International Science Council (ISC)
Anne?Sophie is managing international science?policy activities related to the Sustainable Developments Goals, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and Biodiversity (IPBES). Within these processes, she coordinates inputs from the international scientific community and supports stronger interface between scientists and policy?makers.
Anne-Sophie has been leading at the Council the completion of policy-oriented reports on the SDGs. Following a 2015 Review of the SDG targets, she led a team of 30+ scientists report that led to the publication in 2017 of a report "A guide to SDGs interactions: from science to implementation" which provides a conceptual framework for characterizing SDG interactions (Nilsson et al., 2016) and an assessment of key interactions of four SDGs (hunger/nutrition/agriculture, health, energy, oceans) with partners including IIASA, SEI, IFPRI, IRD.
The work is now being further developed in partnership with the International Network of Government Science Advice (INGSA) to feed into national-level policy development on SDGs.
