Diogo Mateus is graduated and holds, a Master and a PhD in Urbanism by Universidade Lusófona, Lisbon where he Is head of Urban Planning/Design degrees (Master and PhD and researcher on Territorial Studies at CeiED - Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development. His research interests focus on urban quality (assessment and monitoring), urban theory and practise, and the use of public spaces. Have involvement in different research programs funded by national and international agencies as LUDA (5th FP), Technolangue (Intereg III-MEDA/MEDOC), CyberParks (COST Action) and C3Places (H2020 – JPI Urban Europe). He is also urbanist at Geoideia where he develops urban and regional plans, territorial studies and analyses. He is a founder of Portuguese Professional Urbanists Association.
