Noks Nauta is a medical doctor and a psychologist of work and organisation.
From 2000 she became professionally interested in gifted adults, especially in relation to their work. At that time there was hardly any knowledge about this group. She started to collect and disseminate knowledge on gifted adults, she gave workshops and wrote articles for the gifted and for professionals. She also built a network of professionals (national and international). She published a book for gifted adults at work which was translated into English: ‘Gifted Workers, hitting the target’ (2016). In 2017 she published a new book on gifted adults with five co-authors.
Noks writes articles and books and gives group training sessions and workshops for gifted adults and for professional groups like medical doctors, psychologists, supervisors at work, people working in mental health care. She regularly presents internationally.
Noks Nauta is a honorary board member of the Gifted Adults Foundation in the Netherlands which she co-founded in 2010. This foundation aims to improve the living climate of gifted adults by collecting, documenting and distributing the knowledge on gifted adults. The website also has an English and a German page.
