Régine SUTRA ORUS obtained her electrical engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieur d’Electronique Electrotechnique et Hydraulique de Toulouse (ENSEEIHT), France in 1988. She was electrical system research engineer at Airbus from 1988 to 2000 preparing the future A380 architecture & technologies. Then, she moved to Spain in charge of systems/engines interfaces on the A400M. In 2003, she became head of Airbus electrical system group in charge of A380 & A400 M development as well the Aircraft in service support. She implemented the variable frequency & no break DC solutions developed previously in the research department. She decided to move to Zodiac Aerospace in 2009 to learn about suppliers’ culture. She is currently More Electrical Aircraft department manager at the technological research institute IRT Saint Exupery in charge of several research projects to prepare More Electrical & Hybrid/propulsion Aircraft technologies, methods & tools to support the IRT academics & industrials partners. She manages about 100 people.
