Xenia Schneider holds a Computer Science degree from University of South Carolina, another one in Informatics and Managerial Accounting from Copenhagen Business School and a Master of Business Administration from Watwick University, UK. After 15 years in the corporate world, she founded her own company, XPRO Consulting, dealing with SME business strategy and business models. She has multicultural background and more than 20 years of experience in international projects focusing on digitalisation of business and innovation aspects in diverse industries such as pharamceuticals, biotechnology, information technology, environment and circular economy. Her biggerst strength is the ability to apply knowledge and best practices from one sector to another for accelarating innovation. She has 15 years of experience in EU-funded projects for improving industry-policy-research communication interfaces and for the past 5 years she has been focusing on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) issues in R&D. She is one of the originators of the MARINA EU project for embedding RRI in marine sectors and for increasing public engagement in marine areas. In MARINA she is responsible for the lessons learned, best practices spillover activities and for creating an RRI Roadmap.
