Gloria Lligadas holds a degree in Translation & Interpreting, and postgraduate studies in International Studies, has 6-year experience in project management and 14-year experience in communications. She is the head of the Communications & PR Dept. at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), in Barcelona, Spain. She develops and executes, together with her team, the institutional communications strategy that establishes and enhances CRG’s reputation as a center of excellence in biomedical research, advanced training, innovation and public engagement. She is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations and communications activities in a manner consistent with institutional strategies and priorities. She also contributes to the fundraising and public affairs strategy of the CRG, and was involved as a partner in different EU-funded science communication projects: EuroStemCell and CommHERE. Since May 2017 participates as coordinating partner in the H2020 project ORION, focused on Open Science, and since Dec 2017 is an expert member of the Focus Group on Science Communication of the H2020 project Alliance for Life Sciences: Closing Research and Innovation Divide in the EU, coordinated by Masaryk University, Czech Republic.
