Dr. Stephan Piotrowski, B.Sc. in plant production, M.Sc. in agricultural economics, has research experience in the modelling of material flows and target costing in agricultural value chains. His dissertation on sustainable land use in China was conducted in a Sino-German research group. He has broad international experience in agriculture and the economics of value chain management in the agri-food sector.
Since 2008, he is staff scientist at the nova-Institute in Huerth near Cologne, Germany. He has a strong track record of data assessment for the bioeconomy, having developed methodologies for economic bioeconomy monitoring in several national and international projects, resulting in multiple publications on this topic.
